Volunteering
Volunteering can be one of the hardest activities to find, here are some suggestions to the kind of things you can do. There are a few rules you must follow:

You cannot volunteer for a company if the role you undertake is a essentially a job you are doing for free, for example helping out in a cafe is unpaid work, not volunteering.

Helping around the home is not volunteering.
Helping out at one of your clubs
If you are a member of a sports team, scouts, guides or similiar ask if you can help out. See if you can arrive early and help to set up and pack away each week, or help out with a younger group if there is one.
Charity Shops
Most of the charity shops in Jersey will let you volunteer with them, there is a very high chance you will not be the first DofE student to do this.
Litter Picking
You could get a group of you together and spend an hour litter picking each week. If you did this you would need to get photos as evidence and go to different areas each week, there's not that much litter to pick up in Jersey.

If you can't find any opportunities to volunteer come and have a chat with us, we sometimes have some opportunities in school.
